Tom Werner says new owners do not expect long honeymoon Manager Roy Hodgson will have reasonable transfer fundsTom Werner, one of Liverpools new co-owners, has said that the clubs manager, Roy Hodgson, is safe in his job and will be given transfer funds. The other co-owner, John W Henry, has also given his backing to Hodgson, whose side have taken six points from their first seven Premier League games.Werner, the chairman of New England Sports Ventures, which bought Liverpool for 300m this weekend, said the clubs new owners did not expect a "long honeymoon".He told BBC Radio Five Lives Sportsweek programme: "He [Hodgson] needs to be given time.
