The club has also been handed a suspended fine of 10,000.The deduction means that Hartlepool, who were four points clear of the relegation zone with one match to play, now sit only one point above Tranmere Rovers, who occupy the last of the relegation slots.Hartlepool, who had eased away from the drop zone with four wins last month, have 28 days in which to appeal.
